MARIE WANDA (ERLENMAIER) SPRIGGS

Marie Wanda (Erlenmaier) Spriggs was born March 22, 1933 in Watonga, OK to Carl and Rena (Wiese) Erlenmaier and passed away April 22, 2019 at the age of 86.

Marie was a resident of Oklahoma and Texas for the last 65 years where she was retired from the U.S. Government. She graduated from Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Oklahoma 1951. Marie was an avid quilter. She was a charter member of the Dallas Quilt Guild, making hundreds of quilts for the Ronald McDonald House, she served various positions on the guild over the years. Marie also loved bowling, bowling for many years on women’s and mixed leagues. Playing the piano and spending time with her many nieces and nephews were some of her favorite things to do.

Marie was married to Euel Spriggs in Oklahoma City on May 30, 1955.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother; Dean Erlenmaier.

Marie is survived by her husband; Euel Spriggs of the home in Dallas, Texas and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Marie will be Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Watonga, OK with burial following in the East Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Watonga. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary. www.wilkinsonmortuary.com
