In Memory of Dale Earl Elston, Sr.


Dale Earl Elston, Sr. was born January 21, 1941 at Eagle City, OK to Carl and Charlotte Elston and passed away July 21, 2020 at the age of 79.

Dale was a resident of the Watonga community for 65 years where he was an Oil Field Rep and owned and operated S.O.S. Salvage for about 40 years. He attended and graduated from Watonga High school and was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness/His Hands Extended church. He was married to Peggy Ann Spicer at Liberal, Kansas on July 1, 1963.

Dale worked hard all his life and taught many young men (his 5 boys and others) to do the same. (Good work ethic!) He was a tough man with a big heart and he really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; especially playing cards and domino's with his sister and brother-in-law once a week! Dale enjoyed family get together's and was so proud of his family especially his grandchildren. His laughter and his smile were contagious, we are all going to miss him so much!

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Charlotte Elston; three sisters, Eileene, Betty and Pepper and one brother, George Elston; his oldest son Tim, and granddaughter Raven Nicole Elston.

His is survived by his spouse, Peggy Ann Elston of the home in Watonga, OK.

Four sons………………………………….…….. Steven and Brian Elston, both of Arkansas; Randy Elston of Watonga, OK; and Dale Elston, Jr. of Mustang, OK.

Two daughters………………………………...... Christal and Gena Elston, both of Watonga, OK.

One sister……………………………….………. Carolyn June Howard of Ringwood, OK.

Nineteen grandchildren………………….. ........Alisa, Ian, Morgan, Blane, and Sophie; Michael, Tyler, and Brandon; Lil’ Randi and Halie; Myah and Aubree; Sommer, Chloe, Laila, and Hayden; Hannah, Jocelynn and Noah.

Three great-grandchildren……………… Terrel and Lexie, and a great-great grandson on the way.

Memorial services for Dale Earl Elston, Sr. will be held Monday, July 27th, at 10:00 A.M. at the Nazarene Church in Watonga, OK with Pastor Pat Brewer officiating and Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements.
