GEORGE RAYMOND MOORE

George Raymond Moore was born in Somerset County, Pennsylvania to George and Irene (Beck) Moore on October 13, 1932 and passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 in Weatherford, Oklahoma at the age of 86.

George dropped out of school in the 8th grade to help his family make ends meet during the great depression. Later, George received his GED. George joined the United States Army on July 22, 1954, and during his services he was part of the occupational forces in Germany, post WWII. He was discharged from the Army in 1961.

George became a resident of the Watonga, Oklahoma community in 1971. He was a business owner, entrepreneur and property owner in Watonga. He was preceded in death by his parents.

George is survived by:

One son……………………Scott Moore and wife Christina of Weatherford, OK

One daughter…………..Sheila Fullbright of Edmond, OK

One brother…………….Paul Moore of Florida, OK

One sister………………..Lydia Bailey of Pennsylvania

Four grandchildren…. Trevor, Mason, Bryan and Trevor.

Funeral services for George will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Wilkinson Mortuary in Watonga, OK. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga. Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga, OK in charge of arrangements.
