He was a resident of Okeene community all his life, where he worked as a Fertilizer spreader operator for over 13 years, a farm hand, as well as a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic for several years until he retired in 2024. Steven Ruff House was born on April 1, 1974, in Watonga, Oklahoma, passing to Our Lord on December 21, 2025, at the age of 51, at the Oklahoma City Heart Hospital. Steven was known by everyone as Ruff. His middle name came from his great maternal grandmother, Trudy Steger, whose maiden name was Ruff. He worked for his mother and dad, ranching and farming.
