ELLEN JANE (DAVIS) HOUK

Ellen Jane (Davis) Houk was born August 07, 1942 in El Reno, Oklahoma to James and Dorothy Davis and passed away Tuesday, June 26 at the age of 75.

Ellen was a life long resident of the Eagle City and Canton community. She graduated from El Reno High School. Ellen worked at the Watonga Hospital as an admitting clerk for several years, until her retirement. She loved cooking, traveling, arts and crafts, sewing and working on the farm. Ellen’s grandchildren were her life.

She married Frank Houk on November 12, 1960 at the Catholic Church

in El Reno, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy Davis; her husband, Frank; and brother, Jim Davis.

Ellen is survived by:

One son……………………….Gerald Houk of Oklahoma City, OK

One daughter……………….Michelle Tennery of Yukon, OK

Five grandchildren: Tyler Houk of Canton, OK; Hannah Houk of Seiling, OK; Ashley Tennery of Yukon, OK; Jake Tennery of Yukon, OK; and Tanner Cypert of Seiling, OK.

Five great grandchildren: Brody Houk, Karington Houk, Kinlee Houk, Brenner Houk, and Aubrey Geddes.

Funeral services for Ellen will be held Monday, July 02, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Watonga, OK. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements.
