LUTHER LEROY WAGGONER

Luther Leroy Waggoner was born May 15, 1943 at Watonga, Oklahoma to Luther Marvin and Florence Ann Neufeld Waggoner and passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the age of 75.

He was a resident of the Fay community for many years and was employed by Blaine County. Luther attended Fay Schools and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Watonga. He married Frances Harden at the Trinity Baptist Church on October 28, 1961.

Luther was preceded in death by his parents, brother; Darrell Ballew, and his nephews; Lowell and Roger Ballew.

He is survived by his wife Frances Waggoner of the home in Fay, Oklahoma.

Three sons; Luther Brian Waggoner of Fay, OK, Dale Waggoner of Tomah, WI, Sam Waggoner of Fay, OK,

One daughter; Lora Ann Charbonneau of OKC, OK

One brother; Wyatt Waggoner of Colorado.

Five sisters; Joyce Waggoner of Alabama, Alice Ryan of Arkansas, Judy Stinson of Oklahoma, Debbie Lloyd of Oklahoma and Sandi Thomas of Tennessee.

Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Luther always found himself working at what he liked and enjoyed. Playing the guitar was his life-long pastime and played and sang for many church programs with his friend Chester Cline of Anadarko, OK. Their most memorable performances were playing at The National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, The Byron Berline Show and had the privilege of playing guitar along with Louise Mandrell playing fiddle to “Black Mountain Rag”. He will surely be missed.

Graveside services for Luther Waggoner were held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the West Mt. Pleasant Cemetery of Watonga with Chaplain Dennis King officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fay Community Center (PO Box 102, FAY,OK 73646
