William Don Richardson

William Don Richardson was born October 12, 1947 at Watonga, Oklahoma to Austin and Jessie (McGowan) Richardson and passed away on January 9, 2019 at the age of 71.

Don was a resident of the Watonga community his entire life where he was a farmer and rancher. In 1965 he graduated from Watonga High School. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Watonga, the Elks Lodge of Watonga, the WHS Quarterback Club, the WHS Football Hall of Fame, the Oklahoma Cattleman’s Association, and was chosen as the Blaine County Farmer-Rancher of the year. Don loved his Sooner Football, he and his wife Cris enjoyed traveling together, traveling to all 50 states in the U.S. Don’s pride and joy were his children and grandchildren, and he never missed a grandchild’s event or activity.

He married Christine Loosen at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Watonga, Oklahoma on October 25, 1969. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother; Myron Richardson.

Don is survived by his wife Cris of the home in Watonga, OK

One brother……………Mike Richardson and wife Angie of Watonga, OK

One sister……………….Patricia Jackson and husband Don of Woodward, OK

Four grandchildren..Rowdy Trando of Ore City, Texas, Hunter Branstetter of Woodward, OK, Skylar Branstetter of Watonga, OK and Woody Richardson of Watonga, OK

The family would also like to recognize “the Other Woman”, Mrs. Jeanne Moudry, a special family friend to Don and the whole family.

Rosary services will be Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Watonga, OK. Funeral mass will be Monday, January 14, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Watonga, OK, with burial in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga, OK
