Marla Jo Ivins Clifton was born May 3, 1963 at Okeene, Oklahoma to Marlin and Frankie Harris Ivins and passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the age of 55.

Marla grew up in Watonga, graduating from Watonga High School in 1981. She graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree. Marla married John Clifton at the First Baptist Church in Watonga on July 28, 1984. She resided in Ponca City from 1985 to 1990, then moved to Edmond, Oklahoma living there from 1990 to 2014. She moved back to her hometown of Watonga in 2014. Marla worked as an oil and gas marketer for many companies: Conoco, Louis Dreyfus, Enogex and JMA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Watonga. Marla loved water skiing, snow skiing, camping at Canton Lake and traveling.

Marla was preceded in death by her parents, Marlin and Frankie, and both sets of maternal and paternal grandparents.

Marla is survived by her husband John of the home in Watonga

One daughter……………………Jerra Skeen and husband Wil of Satellite Beach, Florida

One granddaughter…………. Lenora Pearl Skeen of Satellite Beach, Florida

One brother………………………Russel Ivins and wife Francie of Grand Lake, Oklahoma

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association.

Funeral services for Marla will be Wednesday, January 30, 2019 AT 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church in Watonga with Pastors Todd Pack and Jim Westmoreland officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga. Arrangements by Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga.
