In Memory ELAINE HOPE HEFFEL

Elaine Hope Heffel was born March 19, 1932 at Okeene, Oklahoma to Claude and Lillie Price and passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the age of 87.

Elaine was a member of the Okeene community her entire life where she owned The Abbey Dress Gift Shop. She was a great cook and was always cooking for the community and her family.

She attended Southard Schools and was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church. She enjoyed playing bingo with the seniors on Mondays and she loved to camp with her husband. They started camping out at Canton Lake, then went to Red River, New Mexico, and when the cold months hit, they were off to South Texas.

Elaine was married Otto Heffel in Oklahoma City on July 14, 1950.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Otto Heffel, her parents; Claude and Lillie Price, her twin brother; Duane Price and one sister; Wilma Jean Bojarski.

She was survived by:

1 Son…………………….. Terry Heffel and wife Debbie, of Okeene, OK.

1 Daughter……………. Pam Oswalt and husband Warren Oswalt Jr. of Okeene, OK.

2 Sisters………………... Geraldine Kubat and Connie London, both of Okeene, OK.

3 Grandchildren……. Warren Oswalt III and wife Jhoanna of New Braunfells, Texas, Kristen Aguirre and husband Adam of Panama City, Florida, and Tanner Heffel of Kingfisher, OK.

2 Great-Grandchildren, Kaycee Aguirre and Jaxton Oswalt; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Elaine Heffel will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mennonite Brethren Church in Okeene, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene, Oklahoma. Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene in charge of arrangements. . Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’ Association or the Menonite Brethren Church Building Fund.
