REBA JO (COMPTON) PIERCE

Reba Jo Pierce was born November 22, 1935 in the rural Watonga area to Carl and Josie Compton and passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at the age of 83.

Reba was a resident of the Watonga community her entire life, graduating from Watonga High School in 1954. Upon graduation she married James Pierce on June 10, 1954. Together they celebrated 65 years of marriage. Reba worked as an abstractor for 11 years for Earnest Hoberecht at Blaine County Abstract. She ran and co-owned Jim’s IGA with her husband Jim for 47 years. Reba was a farmer/rancher and a committed hard worker all her life, driving a tractor for hours with never a complaint. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with her many grandchildren.

Reba was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Dearell (Shorty) Compton, one son; Rodney Pierce and one granddaughter; Karli Pierce.

She is survived by her husband Jim Pierce of the home in Watonga

Two brothers…………………….Monte Compton of Watonga and Leo Compton of Tulsa, OK

One sister…………………………Annette Morris of Harrah, OK

Eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild as well as numerous other family and friends.

Funeral services for Reba Pierce will be Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the Nazarene Church in Watonga. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga.
