Donna Mae Bernhardt Davis

Donna Mae Bernhardt Davis was born on January 5, 1930, to William and Emma (Strack) Bernhardt. She passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at her home in Watonga at the age of 95.

Donna graduated from Watonga High School in 1947. She married Woodrow Melvin Butler August 22, 1948. He passed away May 20, 1949, leaving her as a young widow.

She moved to California when she was 28 years old. She began her career at Parkview Furniture in Compton, California.

She moved back to the home where she was raised in 2014. She loved living on the home place and taking care of her beloved cat, Angel. Donna attended Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Watonga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Emma Bernhardt, sisters Darlene Till, Emmalene Kopf, brothers Richard Bernhardt and Larry Bernhardt. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Watonga.

Services will be held at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Saturday, 2:00 pm, September 13, 2025, Watonga, OK with Pastor Orval Peters officiating. Burial will be at the Watonga IOOF Cemetery; service was entrusted to Wilkinson Mortuary, Watonga, Oklahoma.
