Ramona Ruth (McCaskey) Kennedy

Ramona Ruth (McCaskey) Kennedy was born September 1, 1945, to Meritt and Ruth (Pierce) McCaskey, and passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 80.

Ramona attended Longdale grade school and graduated from Canton high school. She was a resident of the Okeene community for most of her life, where she was the Blaine County Clerk, later moving to Medford, Oklahoma, and co-owning the Kennedy Drug Company. She returned to Okeene to enjoy her retirement in her later years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okeene, Oklahoma.

Ramona was married to Ron Harris, and to their union were born 3 children: Ronda, Chris, and Raquel. She eventually married Danny Dout.  After his passing, she later married Danny Kennedy. She moved to Medford, Oklahoma, with Danny. After his passing, she returned to Okeene to be closer to her family during her retirement.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Merritt and Ruth (Pierce) McCaskey; one sister, Judith Marti; one stepson, Dion Dout; two nephews; and one great nephew.

She is survived by daughter, Ronda High, and husband, Robert, of Okeene, their children, Bryan Nault, Jaimie Wardlaw, and husband, Brady, their son Rylan, Jill Sander, and her husband, Thomas, Drew Nault, and his wife, Kennady, their son, Knox, Cooper High, and Maggie High; son, Chris Harris, and wife, Mandie, of Stillwater, OK, their children, Sam Harris and Jack Harris; daughter, Raquel Meier, and her husband, Scot, of Okeene OK, their children, Bethaney Whitson, and her husband, Blane, their children, Laney, Landrey, and Ellie, and Brooklyn Meier, and Riley Julian; sister, Marilyn Lee, and husband, Jerry, of Longdale OK; and sister, Gwendolyn Long, of Longdale; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services for Ramona Ruth (McCaskey) Kennedy will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Okeene, with Pastor Gaylon Cox officiating. The burial will follow, at Bethel Cemetery, in Fairview, Oklahoma. Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene, Oklahoma, will be handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Okeene First Baptist Church or the Okeene Senior Citizens, with Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene serving as custodian.
