Ruby “Marilyn” Glaze

Ruby “Marilyn” Glaze was born May 18, 1941, in Turlock, California, to Gilbert and Eula Zara (Angell) Welch, and passed away January 4, 2026, at the young age of 84. Marilyn always had a great sense of humor, and she kept that until the end.

She attended grade school and high school in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. She was a longtime resident of the Garden City, Kansas community until moving to Okeene, Oklahoma in 2008.

Marilyn married Jimmy Keith Christian and to their union, the amazing stud, Jimmy Keith, Jr. was born.

Eventually, Melvin Bernstein and his boys, David, Daniel, and Aaron formed a family with Marilyn and her son, Keith. To this union, the long-awaited, one and only, perfect daughter, Regina Angell, was born.

The final love of Marilyn’s life, Vern Glaze and his children, Tammy, Steve, Darrin, and Chris, along with Keith and Regina, formed a new family. To this union, baby Brad Allen was born in 1977 and then promoted to our angel in 1978.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Vern Glaze; one sister, Anita Drbohlav; one brother, Lonnie Welch; her baby boy, Brad Allen, and her grandsons, Daniel and Markie.

Survivors left to carry on her memory are her son, Keith and wife, Shawnda; her daughter, Regina; her stepchildren, Tammy, Steve, Darrin, Chris, David, and Aaron; one sister, Cheryl Kells; 22 grandchildren, too many great grandchildren to count, a slew of kids that called her grandma and claimed her as their own, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, that will all miss her dearly.

Marilyn got her final wish to go out “smokin’ hot” by being cremated.

Memorial services for Marilyn will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Okeene with Pastor Quintin Wray officiating, and Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene handling the arrangements.
