Norma Beavers

Norma Christene Beavers was born December 06, 1927 at Marlow, Oklahoma to Myles D. Cross and Ida E. Cross, and passed away December 13, 2019 at the age of 92.

Norma was a resident of the Watonga, Oklahoma community since 1969 where she was a housewife. She attended Sterling High School and was a member of the Watonga Christian Church. Norma married William O’Dell Beavers at Sterling, Oklahoma on June 16th,1945. She was a loving daughter, wife, sister, grandma, great grandma, and great great grandma. Norma always wanted to attend church every Sunday morning, never met a stranger, and laughed without fear of the future! She will be greatly missed by everyone.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, William O’Dell Beavers; one brother, J.B. Cross; sisters, Betty Dickson and Carolyn Halbrooks; one son, Roger Beavers; grandsons, Dustin Keith Boyd and William Kyle Boyd; one granddaughter, Melissa Kay Johnson.

She was survived by:

One son………………………... Richard O’Dell Beavers of Watonga, OK.

Two Daughters……………… Judith Nileen Willitt of Muleshoe, Texas and Connie Gay Boyd of Chickasha, OK.

Two brothers................... C.E. Cross and Gene Cross, both of Sterling, OK.

Five sisters……………………. Margie Butler of Marlow, OK; Florine Sanders of Abilene, TX; Sharon Cosgrove of Sterling, OK; Jeanie Darlene Baughn of Marlow, OK; and Gwen Delcamp of Lawton, OK.

Twelve grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Norma Christene Beavers will be held Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Christian Church in Watonga, OK with Pastor Adam Lovitt officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga, OK with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements.
