Roddy Boyd

Roddy Boyd, 57, husband of Barbara Pierce-Boyd, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2020.

Roddy was born in Thomas, Oklahoma to Farrol and Brenda Boyd on August 28, 1962.

Roddy was an engineer with Fluor Corporation of Greenville, SC, where he enjoyed being a part of the golf team and bowling league. A native Oklahoman, Roddy was a life long fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. GO OU!!!! Roddy enjoyed life to the fullest, never met a stranger, loved everyone and always made sure his family and friends were taken care of.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Farrol and Regina Boyd and Bill and Eula Nordquist.

In addition to his wife of 24 years, Roddy is survived by his children, Nathan Boyd, Michael Pierce (Shelia), Troy Pierce (Barbie), Dale Pierce, Cody Pierce, and Tonya Pierce; his grandchildren, Brittany Pierce, Taylor Pierce, Cameron Pierce, Dawson Pierce, and Hayden Pierce; his precious great-grandchildren, Blake Pierce, Kingston Pierce; Parents, Farrol and Brenda Boyd; his brother, Marty Boyd and wife Lori; niece, Kelsie Boyd, nephew, Kamden Boyd; and his canine companion, Sophie. Also surviving are his sister-in-law, Donnis Burns and his brother-in-law, Russell Caughman.

A visitation will be held Sunday, February 09, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast. Honoring Roddy's wise to return to his beloved Oklahoma.

The family of Roddy will hold a visitation receiving friends and family on Wednesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Wilkinson Mortuary in Watonga, OK

Funeral services for Roddy will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the First Christian Church in Watonga. A private family burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery in Fay, Oklahoma with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
