Bonita Joyce Haffey “Aunt Bea” was born on December 18, 1927 to Fred & Hattie Weisner in Okeene

Oklahoma and left this life on December 30, 2021 at the age of 94.

Aunt Bea graduated Okeene High School in 1945. She then attended Phillips University in Enid. She was a resident of Okeene her entire 94 years of life and was employed by the Okeene Milling Company for 58 of those years. On August 26, 1949, Aunt Bea married the love of her life, William “Bill” Haffey.

Aunt Bea was a member of the First Christian Church of Okeene where she was a deacon and a member of the board. She assisted with the Okeene Alumni Association for many years. She was also an avid Whippet sports fan where she enjoyed watching all Okeene Sports.

Aunt Bea is survived by Great-Nieces; Mitchie (Justin) Lamle of Enid and Heather #1 Boeckman of Okeene. Great-Nephews; Buddy (Heather #2) Boeckman of Fairview, Dustin (Heather #3) Boeckman of Carmen, Dakota (Lea) Boeckman of Kansas, and Kane Boeckman of Okeene. Nephews Mark (Terri) Manos and Jaime Manos all of Okeene. Aunt B also had many Great-Great Nieces and Nephews as well as a Great-Great-Great Niece that she has helped raise and spoil all of their years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 brothers and 1 sister, 2 nieces and 1 great-niece.

Memorials may be made to the Okeene Hospital or the First Christian Church of Okeene.

Funeral Service for Bonita will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 10:00 at the First Christian Church in Okeene, Oklahoma. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene. Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene in charge of arrangements.
