Jeanne Marie Goll Moudry

Jeanne Marie Goll Moudry was born February 13, 1921 in Atchinson, KS to William J. Goll and Laura M. Harned and passed away December 14, 2020 at the age of 99.

She attended Mt. Saints Scholastica in Atchinson before moving to Enid at age 8. There, she attended St. Josephs Academy and later married Frank J. Moudry of Watonga, OK. They were married the third time they saw each other at St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Gowan, OK by Father Jacasrck on January 24, 1939. They returned to the farm 6 miles west and 1 north of Watonga, where she farmed along side her husband for many years. After raising their daughter, she worked as a secretary for Blaine Country Farm Bureau. She was an active member at St. Rose Catholic Church of Watonga and belonged to the Altar Society for many years; as well as Watonga PTA, and the Watonga Round-Up Club, serving as a secretary and Round-Up Queen. She also served as president in the Jaycee Jills and enjoyed bowling on the Blunk Studio Championship Bowling team.

Jeanne was a devoted wife and mother and was always willing to lend a helping hand. I was said that “their marriage would never last” but this city girl and this farm boy has a love that was an inspiration to all!! They had a marriage of love and devotion that lasted over 63 years. The last few years of her marriage were dedicated to caring for her husband who suffered a stroke in November of 1994.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents , her brother William Henry Goll, sisters Eileen Wagner, and Ann Stephens, and Dorothy Jarrett; as well as her husband Frank who died September 21, 2002.

Survivors include her daughter, Roxanna and Husband Bill Marshall of Willow Park, TX.

Grandchildren: Steve and Natalie Marshall of Azle, TX; Chad and Terra Marshall of Watonga, OK and Kesley and Rusty Ballard of Haslet, TX. Great-grandchildren: Trevor and Rhett Marshall of Azle, TX, Hagen Marshall of Watonga, and Kassi and Kiley Ballard of Haslet, TX. Sister, Barbara Hager of Enid, OK; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who all love her very much.

Jeanne will be greatly missed. She set an example of love, determination, and endurance for us all.
