MARILYN CLYDENE HEFFEL

Marilyn Clydene Heffel was born July 3, 1929, at Alva, Oklahoma to Clyde and Cecile Peterson, and passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022, at the age of 93.

She was a long-time resident of the Hitchcock community and recently moved to Watonga. she was retired as manager of Earnest Hoberecht Insurance where she worked for many years. Clydene attended and graduated from Watonga High School and was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church of Okeene. She was married to Wesley Heffel on March 7, 1948.


She is preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Heffel, her parents Clyde and Cecile Peterson, and one sister, Margene Fry.


She is survived by three daughters; Sandy Boeckman and husband Robert of Okeene, Sheri Nelson and husband Tim of Watonga, and Shelly Booze of Oklahoma City. Four grandchildren; Brad Boeckman and wife Kim of Enid, Matt Boeckman and wife Maisha of Hitchcock, Dillon Nelson of Tulsa and Corbin Nelson of Tulsa. Three great grandchildren; Wes Boeckman of Enid, Nick Boeckman of Enid and Reed Boeckman of Hitchcock, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.


Funeral Services for Clydene will be Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. at the Okeene Mennonite Brethren Church with Pastor Bennet Peters officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene with Wilkinson Mortuary of Okeene in charge of arrangements.

Wilkinson Mortuary in Okeene will be open from 1pm to 8pm for visitation. The family will receive friends and family for a visitation from 4pm to 6pm Tuesday evening at Wilkinson Mortuary in Okeene, OK.
