MABEL ALYMRTIA (PEPPER) HART

Mabel Alymrtia (Pepper) Hart went home to be with the Lord, and the love of her life, Roy Pepper on October 13th, 2019 in her home in Watonga, where she was surrounded by family and friends.

Mabel Elston was born December 7, 1928 to Earl Elston and Charlotte Caroline (Bingham) Elston at Fay, OK. She lived around Fay and Eagle City are during her childhood and attended schools there. She worked and did nursing care at the Thomas Hospital when she was sixteen years old.

She married Roy Eldon Hart on January 9th, 1946 at Watonga. They made their home around Thomas and Clinton area for many years. They moved to Watonga in 1995 and lived there the remainder of their lives.

Pepper and Roy loved to go camping, to visit friends and family. Pepper was a homemaker and mother. She loved to crochet and made many beautiful things that she gave away to friends and family. They both attended the Cowboy Church in Watonga for several years, and after Roy passed away, Pepper also attended the Trinity Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son John Earl Hart of Woodward, OK, one brother Dale and his wife Ann Elston of Watonga, OK; one sister, Carolyn and her husband Jack Howard of Ringwood, OK; one grandson, Jacob Hart, along with many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She also had many other special friends who helped so much after Roy’s death.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Roy, a brother, George Elston, two sisters, Eileene Austin and Betty Hites.
