CARL LAZELLE WHITE II

Carl Lazelle White was born on April 13, 1940 in Enid Oklahoma to Carl Lazelle and Martha White and passed away at home on December 27, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his sister Elaine Pringle and her husband Gene, and his beloved wife Mary.

Carl proudly served in the United States Army as one of the original twelve Sentry Dog Handlers, in the first unit of its kind. In 1971, he met the love of his life, Mary Simpson, who he later married on April 8, 1972. They made their life together on the ranch until Mary’s passing. Carl and Mary ranched, helped develop agritourism in Oklahoma, and continued Carl’s passion of training dogs. His biggest joy in this life was his family, to whom he passed his love of the ranch, the ability to keep their seat, and the knowledge of how to be good stewards of the land.

He is survived by his son Rylan White and wife Lisa of Ames, his daughter Gretchen White and husband Luca Campello of no place in particular, and Jordy White of the homeplace. He also had three grandchildren, Giorgia and Matteo Campello, and Martha White. He is also survived by numerous other family members and too many friends to mention.
