Connie Frances Turman Roberson

Connie Frances Turman Roberson was born June 5, 1946, at Duncan, Oklahoma, to Don and Katherine (Epley) Turman, and passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the age of 77.

She was a resident of the Kingfisher community for the past 5 years. Prior to that, Connie resided in Watonga, from 1979 to 2018, where she owned and operated Connie’s Barbershop and was a member of the Watonga Christian Church. She grew up and graduated from Healdton, Oklahoma where she was active as a twirler in the band.

She was married to Robert Pearson at Healdton, Oklahoma in December 1963. They resided in Ames Oklahoma and together they had two children, Angie Brodrick and Robert Pearson Jr. In 1991, she married Edward Roberson, with whom she was with until her passing.

Connie was an avid golfer and played for years in the women’s Thursday night golf league. She also bowled in the local Watonga Lanes league, as well as a traveling bowling league. Connie loved being at the lake, camping and boating, and spending time with family and friends. She always loved to listen to country music and go out two-stepping. She always looked forward to the Healdton Alumni Banquet so she could reconnect with her classmates and friends. Later in life, her greatest love was to follow her grandchildren to all their sporting events to watch and cheer them on. Connie was very vibrant and full of life, yet the soft place to fall when you needed someone to listen. She didn’t judge and would give you whatever she had to make your life better.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Turman and Katherine Cornish and her first husband Robert Pearson.

She is survived by her husband, Ed Roberson of the home in Kingfisher. One son, Robert Pearson Jr. of Watonga, Oklahoma and one daughter, Angie Brodrick and husband Keith (whom she called her Son in Love, her biggest advocate and fixer of all things), of Kingfisher, Oklahoma; one brother, John Cornish and wife Michelle of California; two sisters, Kim Ann Cornish of California and Lessa Jean Cornish of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Five stepchildren, Brett, Tamracina, Dan, Josh, and Nicole; Seven grandchildren, Blake and Amy Pearson, Tiffany and Beto Lozano, D’Andra and Chayne Parsons, Dustin and Dusti Brodrick, Kailin Brodrick, Trey Pearson, Gracie Pearson, as well as great grandchildren Ma’Kyla, Kyler, Kylen, Emma and Kaden Lozano, Bowen and River Pearson, Ava, Livi, Jack and Levi Parsons, Hinsley and Whitley June Brodrick. She also had a special place in her heart for the Braun family, Lonnie, Blair, Jett, Jagger, Jiles and Joppie who always checked on her and took care of her like family, they are much appreciated and loved.  

A celebration of life for Connie will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Island Guest Ranch, 267043 E. Country Rd., Ames, OK, 73718.
