KEVIN JOHN BIGGS

Kevin John Biggs was born January 14, 1966, at Okeene, OK to Leroy and JoAnn Biggs and passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at the age of 56.

He was a resident of the Hitchcock community for his whole life. He attended Hitchcock schools and graduated from Okeene High School. He worked for S.O.O. Trucking in Okeene, from 1988-1992; he retired from Blaine County District 2 after working there for 22 years. Kevin attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Watonga, OK.

He moved to his farm in 2003, where he made a place for family to come and enjoy the peace and beauty of the land. He made a pond to fish and enjoy the company of others, in memory of his late daughter, Katlyn. The pond is known as the Katie Pond. Later, he added a treehouse, swings, and a cabin that he built with the help of his grandkids. He later went on to add a 9-hole golf course on his land, where he could enjoy his love of golf with his kids and grandkids. He also raised cattle and enjoyed taking all the grandkids out to feed them (That’s how he ended up with the name “Papa Cow.”) Kevin enjoyed just about any time he could spend with his family, especially the kids and grandkids; he loved to fish, play horseshoes, and go snake hunting. He loved to listen to music and going antiquing. He always enjoyed golfing, and of course, he loved the OU Sooners.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Steve, and one daughter, Katlyn.

He is survived by his mother, JoAnn of Stillwater. Two daughters, Darci Thompson and husband Nick of Enid, OK, and Lindsay Mingo and husband Cawayne, of Enid, OK. Four brothers, Alan and wife Pam, Wayne and wife Debbie, Curtis and wife Connie, and Randy. One sister, Marylin Butler and husband Eric. Five grandchildren, Emilie and Blake Thompson, and Jaymond, Zoe, and Amare Mingo, as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Public viewing for Kevin Biggs will be held Wednesday, October 19, 2022 until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday morning, until we proceed to his service.

Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church in Watonga with burial following in the Cottonwood Cemetery in Hitchcock, OK with Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga in charge of arrangements. www.wilkinsonmortuary.com
