Michael Don Pinkerton

Michael Don Pinkerton was born on July 21, 1959, at Watonga, Oklahoma, to Michael Lewis Pinkerton and Donna Lee (Neely) Pinkerton Kohl, and passed away October 25, 2025, at the age of 66.

He was a resident of the Watonga Community his entire life and graduated from Watonga High School.  Don married Terri Dawn Long at Watonga Christian Church, on April 1, 1994.

He proudly followed in his father’s footsteps beginning his trucking career right out of high school. He spent countless hours behind the wheel of an 18-wheeler hauling cattle across the country and taking pride in a hard day’s work. As he grew older, he enjoyed the quieter moments in life watching John Wayne, fishing and spending time with family. Most of all, he devoted himself to caring for his beloved wife as she continues her courageous battle with breast cancer. He was endlessly proud of his children and grandchildren, and he loved each of them deeply.

He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Lewis Pinknerton; stepfather, Tony Kohl and grandparents; Carl and Daisie Pinkerton and Raymond and Helen Neely.

He is survived by his wife, Terri Pinkerton of the home in Watonga, Oklahoma.

Two sons……………………. Michael McSperitt and Chad Pinkerton of Watonga, Oklahoma

One daughter…………….. Mika Pinkerton of Yukon, Oklahoma.

Two brothers…………..…. Mark Pinkerton and Roy Pinkerton of Watonga, Oklahoma.

His mother……….………... Donna Kohl of Watonga, Oklahoma

Five grandchildren……... Kaleb McSperitt, Logan McSperitt, Leoti Pinkerton, Lainey Pinkerton and Laramie Pinkerton.

Memorial services for Don will be held Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Watonga Christian Church in Watonga, Oklahoma, with Pastor Adam Lovitt and Dr. Dwight McGee officiating. Wilkinson Mortuary of Watonga entrusted with the arrangements.
