Robert Bisel, Jr.

In Memory

ROBERT CLAYTON BISEL JR.

Robert Clayton Bisel Jr. was born November 25, 1959 to Robert C. Bisel and Doris J. (Cobb) and passed away August 30, 2024 at the age of 64.  Robert was a current resident of Oklahoma City with other residencies in Enid and Okeene. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with a degree in Business; whereby, he held accounting positions at Sooner Coop in Okeene and Groendyke Transportation in Enid.  Robert was very meticulous and unwavering in his work ethic and beyond the numbers and spreadsheets, he was known for his gentle spirit.

Robert was a member of the First Baptist Church in Okeene and music was one of his greatest passions.  He found joy in playing the piano and organ for the church.  For him, music was not just a hobby, but a way to connect with life.  It was his way of expressing emotions that words sometimes could not capture.  After leaving Okeene, he continued playing the organ for various churches in the Oklahoma City area.

In addition to his love for music, Robert had a special place in his heart for dogs.  He was known for rescuing one from a shelter and taking it into his home.  His fury companions brought him comfort and companionship.

Eventually, he moved to Oklahoma City to be closer to his sister Amanda and her family.  The bond that he shared with Amanda was a testament to his importance of family in his life.  He was a beloved brother, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend who valued the relationships he built and maintained throughout his journey.

Robert will be deeply missed and his memory will live on in the hearts of those that knew him.  He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and a dedication of service to the Lord.  He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Doris Bisel of Okeene.  He is survived by his sister Amanda Haffey and her husband Bill, niece Megan Ferguson and husband Tyler all of Edmond.

Graveside funeral services for Robert will be held Wednesday, September 4th at 10:00 am at Roselawn Cemetery in Okeene with Reverend Gaylon Cox officiating and Wilkinson Mortuary performing the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Okeene.
